DTS 2010
They started off as just a people thinking about themselves before anything else with little or no idea as to what God had in store for them, but God has transformed them into a people that knows goes God and seeks to know and love Him even more. their testimonies say the rest.
“Once I lived on my terms, period.”
It seems like good times on a roll don’t it? Wrong, more harm than good came out of all this more often than not. There are times when I only believed I did some things coz there was conclusive undeniable evidence. If you had known me then, you probably know what I mean, I am grateful for my DTS and I really thank God for starting some work in me. As I live today, I know I am truly a work in progress and also walking a path that has a living destiny. Not to sound too spiritual, but to lay it all bare, I have come a long way. I have learnt of a greater wisdom and understanding than my own, doing things for the benefit of the many and not just me.
I have managed to grasp the rare kind of mindset that sticks out in this world, for I see the world through a different set of eyes with a focus that surpasses it all without bounds. I now know how to consider other people first and also am learning and striving to develop this renewed heart of mine to make the positive behavioral characteristics into my nature. I thank God He has revealed a world and life that does not need alcohol to enjoy nor harmful cigarettes at my side always. I can confidently say I AM A NEW MAN. Only God makes such changes possible. Ask Him to make you His people and He will be your God and also bless the work of your hands.
God Bless

Libarikiwe Jina lake Bwana.

Binafsi napenda kumshukuru mungu hadi kufikia hapa. Nimeweza kuona mabadiliko ndani yangu kwamba Mungu anafanya kazi. Nime ona baliko kubwa nilivyokuja YWAM nakufata mafunzo. Nimeweza kumfahamu Mungu vizuri kufata masomo haya yadarasani.

While I was in my home country (Kenya), I had a thirst for the knowledge of God and this mad me to take a step of faith to this land (Tanzania). It was not easy to leave my country and my responsibilities at home. One night in a dream God presented me like an eagle that was unable to fly, and this made me know that things were not easy in the spiritual realm. I asked God to help me make it to this land. The topic about the character and nature of God changed me incredibly especially in the sub topic ‘Integrity’. I have known that my role is to please God and not man. A Christian life is different from the systems of the world. Arrogant people might manipulate Christians because they are above them one way or another but for me I have learnt to be in good books with God (in the book of life) no matter the different opinions they might have but I have to remain a soldier in the army of God.
Satan a vigilant fore who is seeking to overcome my life but the principle I learned is that every time I have to keep the pot boiling in my spiritual life. And I don’t have to be ignorant but I have to wage war against him.

Napenda kutoa shukurani zangu jinsi shule yoYwam ilvyonibhadilisha. Kwanza imenifanya kumjua Mungu kwa ukaribu zaidi, kusoma Bibilia kwa ufasaha nakuishi kwakumtegemea Mungu kwakila kitu. Nazaidi yayote jinsi yakushugulikia migogoro. Namshukuru Mungu kwayote aliyonitendea kupitia Ywam. Kweli nimebadilika. Mungu bariki uOngozi waYwam.
Elias Charles Kipesha
Somo laubaba waMungu limeni saidia sana kwakuniwezesha kufanya kazi zamikono zote hadi zilizoachiliwa wanawake tu. Nafanya zote izi kazi bila ubaguzi. Nasasa nishaa jifunza jinsi baba mzuri alivyo ambae ndio natarajia kuwa nam kwawatoto wangu nawengine ambae wanahitaji baba. Kotokana nasomo la uwakili nimejifunza kutunza vifaa vyangu nazawengine piya kwa jinsi sikukua kabla yakusoma. Nilikua nakiburi moyoni mwangu nasasa nimejifunza kunyenyekea nakutii mamlaka aliye juu yangu. Na tena nilikuwa simuaminifu, nimuongo, nakuzidi kutotii mapenzi yaMungu lakini mawazo yangu yamebadilika nikafanywa upya. Mungu awabariki nyote.

USHUHUDA BINAFSI

Ukliokuwa ume

VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT
VILLAGE DEVELOPMENT
We have a vision to set aside at least 1 to 2 acres for a market to provide farmers with a place to sell their produce in stalls and in whole sale.
Revenue will be divided between Ywam and the village as a contribution to the development of the village. Funds will go towards, education and women development programmes. It is our hope that will provide employment opportunity for our village youth
Small shops will also be constructed along the wall facing the main road. They will be rented out to small business people on reasonable rental fee priority will be given to women because they have a great challenge bringing up children with low income from husbands or without income if divorced or separated or single parents.
Farm:
Out of 81 acres of land 20 of those will be set aside for farming for mission use, raising funds to aid different projects running in the mission, and as a model farm through demonstration plots.
The farming will include:
Animal keeping:
milk cows,
poultry,
bee-keeping,
fish farming
Vegetable garden
This will subsidize for our food, giving to the poor, and selling for base development
Animal husbandry and vegetable and fruit gardens are on the top of the agenda
Irrigation from a natural source of water will serve the need for effective farming. Pumps are available on sight but electricity installation is still needed at the farm. At the cost of $ 3000.00
Wall around the property of 81 is needed to keep off wild life.

MULTIPURPOSE EDUCATION CENTRE (MEC) VTC
Is our vocational training program whose objective is to provide discipleship and skill training for youth from needy families or orphans at affordable fee or through sponsor programs. The first phase will cover tailoring and carpentry.
The facility currently almost completed has classrooms and dorm facilities with a capacity to accommodate 20 students with each course taking 10 students at a time
To sustain the training program and to ensure that the students fee remains minimal, we will run high quality production workshops with employed tailors and carpenters. Furniture and clothing resulting from the same will be sold and profits used to cover training. During the second year of training students will be involved in production and funds will be set aside to purchase tools to work with on completing the course.
Outcome:
We expect to produce fully trained trades-persons with skills enough to enable them to run their own businesses equipped with tools within two years of training.

UZIMA MISSION CLINIC MWANDEGE
Through Uzima clinic we treat an average of 80 to 90 patients everyday with over 60 deliveries per month.
The clinic is run by 1 YWAM missionary doctor, 1 missionary nurse-midwife, 4 employed Clinical officers, a receptionist and six nurses and nurse aid students. All work on shifts. Medical interns from abroad also come for field experience.
The clinic also keeps patients for observation only but refers all complicated cases to Mkuranga district hospital or to Temeke district referal hospital. UMC is a real blessing to the people of the village and patients also come from other distant villages as well.
Medical/relationship building:
These are complementary ministries as the love of God is both defined and demonstrated through them.
Uzima mission clinic in partnership with Mission Aviation fellowship Dar es Salaam, medical outreaches are made once a month to the delta beginning with jaja village in the Rufiji delta, which is not easily accessible by road or water. Our medical staff give free treatment to upto 200 people in the 6 hours made visit to this remote village. We are in the process of seeking permission from Tanzania civil Aviation Authority to build 2 more airstrips in partnership with the villages to send this needed ministry there as well.
HIV/ AIDS Prevention through Education
Through the clinic we come face to face with HIV AIDS reality. It is believed by those working with AIDS projects that 4 out of 10 People living in Tanzania live with HIV virus.
It is our Christian duty to love our neighbours.
Our response is with counseling and care for the infected, prevention through education and treating sicknesses associated with the infection. Care for the affected becomes unavoidable as orphans need help.
Specific attention is being given among the Youth and children in our prevention strategy.
This will mean challenging world views of the people around us as especially girls are introduce to acts of sexual abuse at a very early age.
Among women the infection is due to ignorance and poverty as many resort to sex as means for financial survival. Most of the girls have no more that primary school education contributing to ignorance.
DAYSPRING ACADEMY PRIMARY SCHOOL
Dayspring academy primary school an affordable english medium school for village children has began this year with grade one. 35 children from all background make up the school.
Our vision as it is in the pre-school is to give good education to all children regardless of family economic ability
